I am thinking of trying out kde 4.1 on my laptop but I have some questions before I do. I added the ppa repositories to my sources.list file and even before I was going to install 4.1, it said that there where upgrades to be performed. When I went to install them I got warning from Aptitude that these where untrusted packages and that they could compromise my system. Is this just a warning that they are not coming from the main repository? I just don't want to break anything too seriously on my laptop with the install.
I don't mind have some issues, but I would prefer not to have to reinstall the entire thing if this didn't work well.
Thanks,
-Eric
