Upgrading to KDE4.1 from KDE 4.0.5

Hi,

i just tried to upgrade from kde 4.0.5 to kde 4.1. Adept stops the process saying there was some kind of error. a look into the dpkg-log reveals:
dpkg: Fehler beim Bearbeiten von /var/cache/apt/archives/kdebase-runtime_4%3a4.1.0-0ubuntu1~hardy1~ppa1_i386.deb (--unpack):
Versuche, »/usr/lib/kde4/lib/libkaudiodevicelist.so« zu überschreiben, welches auch in Paket kdelibs5-dev ist
which, for those who don't read german, basically means that kdebase-runtime could not be installed because installing it would mean changing the file /usr/lib/kde4/lib/libkaudiodevicelist.so, which is also a part of package kdelibs5-dev. I already tried removing said package, but apparently kde4 depends on it. What do i do? It should not be possible for two packages to contain the same file...

Have you tried reinstalling kdelibs5-dev (apt-get install --reinstall)? If it doesn't help you can also try more risky approach by manually installing kdebase-runtime_4%3a4.1.0-0ubuntu1~hardy1~ppa1_i386.deb and overwriting problematic file (look up dpkg manual and check out --force options)

I had that yesterday on my HH kde3 / kde4.05 installation.

If uninstall kubuntu-kde4-desktop and all the other kde4.0.5 stuuf and do:

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install kubuntu-kde4-desktop

I should give you kde4.1 to choose from at login. You can then install the rest (plasma widgets, multimedia, etc)

If you are updateing / grading from HH remix 4.0.5 and it stalls try :
