    KONQUEROR CRASHES WHEN I PRINT

I cannot print from konqueror. It just shuts down. I have only tried this with PDF and images, and am unsure if its all files. I can print from HP print utility, but that is a nuisance. Any help is appreciated.

Re: KONQUEROR CRASHES WHEN I PRINT

These are the installed packages I have on my HH KDE 3.5.9 system that are associated with 'print' as the search term. You may want to check Adept Manager and see if you have these installed.
      bluez-cups
      cups-pdf
      cupsys
      cupsys-bsd
      cupsys-client
      cupsys-common
      cupsys-driver-gutenprint
      enscript
      foo2zjs
      foomatic-db
      foomatic-db-engine
      foomatic-db-gutenprint
      foomatic-db-hpijs
      foomatic-filters
      hpijs
      hpijs-ppds
      hplip
      hplip-data
      hplip-gui
      ijsgutenprint
      kdeprint
      libcupsimage2
      libcupsys2
      libgutenprint2
      libofa0
      libxp6
      min12xxw
      openprinting-ppds
      pxljr
      splix
      system-config-printer-common
      system-config-printer-kde
I can print standard (text) and pdf files with no problem. Haven't tried to print images.
Windows no longer obstructs my view.
Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007.

Thanks for trying, I have all those installed. I still cannot print from konqueror or dolphin.

Re: KONQUEROR CRASHES WHEN I PRINT

Is it because you have not set your HP printer as the 'Default printer'?
That could be your whole problem, you're using the set-up default...which is PDF.
          Not your HP printer.
Do a bit of exploring...once you get into the Printing set-up, you should be able to figure it out once you have done so.
Jeez, I 've only had my Linux Kubuntu running for about a week, never used it before in my life. Used common-sense, to figure that problem out.
Which is 'one step at a time'.
Okay, you have a problem.....with Printing, where do you think the best (and first) place is, for you to start looking?
By the way, I also use a HP PCS 1310-15. Like I've said....I had no trouble, at all, setting mine up.
Kubuntu has a "Printer Set-up".....for HP that is equal....to the XP version. if not better.
