    Kubuntu Shutdown Messages

    Hi there,

I am using Kubuntu 8.04 and it is great, no problems at all....except....

when I shut down my laptop a load of messages (white on a black screen) comes up at it is shutting down - they seem to refer to loads of different things such as network drivers, screen settings etc.

This doesn't seem to have any adverse effects but I am wondering why it is doing it. Does it happen to everyone using Kubuntu as it doesn't happen when I use Ubuntu?

(I also tried Kubuntu KDE 4 and the same thing happens).

This is not a major issue, but I wonder if anyone else has this, how to get rid of it etc.

    Cheers

That's normal. Sometimes if you are having a problem with shutting down, watching those messages may help you figure out the problem.

Thanks, I thought it might be a feature.

Just curious if there is any way to turn it off. Not that is bothers me, just wondering.
