Kipi Help

I installed the latest version of Digikam, Kipi, and all of their dependencies. I am running Ubuntu Hardy. When I try to create an MPEG slideshow I get an immediate message that the encoding has finished successfully with 0 time elapsed and no slide show created. Help!!!

I would really appreciate any assistance. I know the problem is with Kipi, since I get the same result with Gwenview. However, I cannot find a kipi support site.

Any errors ?

What was the commandline ?

The command 'images2mpg' which is part of the 'kipi-plugins' package requires commands that are part of the 'mjpegtools' package, but 'mjpegtools' is not a dependency of 'kipi-plugins'. I was unable to run 'images2mpg' successfully until I installed the 'mjpegtools' package.

kipi-plugins needs vorbis-tools as a dependency. The images2mpg script looks for ogg123 and will fail if it can't find it. I'm running Hardy with kipi-plugins-0.1.5-1.

I have mjpeg tools installed. In fact, I compiled the latest version.

Testing in the konsole (only one picture) with the command:

images2mpg -f DVD -n PAL -S 420mpeg2 -d 10 -c 000000 -M /usr/bin -I /usr/bin -o /media/sda6/tmp_mpeg/output.mpg -i /media/sda6/tmp_mpeg/0.png

Command output is in the output.txt.

Do you get something similar ?

I solved this by running the command you gave in the terminal. I did not have mpg123 installed, something it was looking for. And a temp file it was looking for was not there, so I created it.
