    Samba

    I try to run the command /etc/init.d/samba start but there is no file called samba in this directory. How com ? What should i do ?

    I think you have to be the Super User to start it. Try
    Code:
    sudo /etc/init.d/samba start
    and give your password.

      In the KDE menu go to System Settings, Advanced, System Services, and set Administrator Mode. Then find Samba in the list. If it's not in the list, it may not be installed.
