Does anyone know how to get digikam to recognise Panasonic DMC TZ5? I know that the previous Lumix (TZ3) is not on Digikam's list, but I saw that they had found a way around that. It does not seem to work on TZ5, though.

Yes it does work!
In the the camera playback setup -> uSB mode -> PictBridge (PTP)
Then when connecting to the computer make sure to turn the dial on top of the camera to notebook (for some reason).
