Thunderbird Doesn't Want to Send in HTML?

I received an email that was in HTML, and when I tried to reply, Thunderbird said that domain didn't accept HTML. That domain was yahoo dot com. And the sender sent me the email in HTML, which was forwarded from someone who sent that user the mail in HTML.

Long story short, why does Thunderbird keep saying these domains don't accept HTML, when I have sent emails to this and other users in HTML before? Is there some way to get rid of this nonsensical interruption to sending messages? Could there really be a problem sending in HTML?

Thunderbird goes by the settings for the email address you are sending to in the address book. Open the address book and right click on the name of the person to whom you are sending the message. About halfway down the window that opens you will see a pull down menu that allows you to select how that person prefers to receive email. Select html.

Thanks, Detonate. I have added a few "html" domains to my preferences, and will continue to monitor my email to see if I need to add more.
