    (SOLVED) How do I check for updates to my system in Kubuntu?

    I had used Ubuntu for a while and wanted to give Kubuntu a try. Got it all installed now.

    Question is, in Ubuntu there was a menu option to check the repositories for updated
    software, I am having trouble locating something similar in Kubuntu. For my Firefox is only 2.0 and I know 3.0 is out there.

    How/where do I go to force kubuntu to check for updates that I need to install?

    There should be adept-notifier, system tray notifier of available system updates.

    What happens if you: Press ALT + F2 and type adept_notifier
