    can not install libxine1-ffmpeg

I am trying to get mp3 support on my laptop

i have tried for hours with no success. I installed the restricted formats and it did not work. I installed medibuntu and it also did not work.

everytime I try to update anything that deals with the ffmpeg in the adept i get a message BREAK (upgrade)

I have been at this for days and every message board I have looked at has not worked. Do I have to un-install software.

    Thank you,

    Rene

Welcome to the Kubuntu Forums. You've identified that you are using HH but not which version of KDE. So, are you running KDE 3.5.x or KDE 4.x?

The version of kde is not important. It seems that you have too many different repositories enabled. Probably updated something from them. Try leaving only ubuntu official repos and updating.

      good luck
