Audio / Video Preview from file manager

    Hey all

Prior to coming to Ubuntu one of the previous versions of Linux I used had a facility where when you hung the mouse over an audio / video file you would get a preview of the file start playing.

Does anyone know what software is used to achieve this?

    Thanks 8)

I wouldn't know about Dolphin, but in Konqueror you need to go into Settings - Configure Konqueror - Previews and Meta-Data.

Mind, it is probably similar in Dolphin...

As toad told: Konqueror > Settings > Configure Konqueror > Previews & Meta-Data (allow previews)

      You may also need:

libarts1-xine aRts plugin enabling xine support
      or
mplayerthumbs - thumbnail generator for video files on Konqueror (and Dolphin/KDE)

      Note
There is a new version of the mplayerthumbs
