Firefox Install Problems...Lost & Found + No Icon

    Hi !

I recently installed Kubuntu on my laptop and when I installed Firefox I couldn't find it in the Internet tab. It got installed in the Lost & Found tab instead and has no icon. Just a blank icon with a question mark in the middle.

Firefox still works in spite of this but I'd like to find a way to at least get the correct icon to show up !

Anyone have a possible solution to this problem ?

    Thanks in advance !

    Welcome to the party

If you are in kde3.5.9 then just right click on kmenu and choose kmenu editor.

From there you can move your FF to anywhere you want and change the icon.

If you are in kde4 remix then you will have to install kmenuedit and open it up with alt+F2>kmenuedit.

if you are in kde4.1 beta then you can use the same steps as in kde3.5.9

You could also fix this by deleting firefox.desktop from:

          ~/.kde/share/applink and ~/.local/share/applications

because if you modified the Firefox icon earlier, settings would be saved in firefox.desktop in one of these folders, and your user settings override system settings.
