I have recently transitioned from Fiesty Fawn (Ubuntu 7.04) to Hardy Heron 8.04 Kubuntu (stable). I must say, I prefer KDE's apps, such as the Dolphin File Manager.
To get to the point, every time I close my laptop lid and every time I shut down, the screen seems to distort. Whenever I lift the lid back up, the screen shows distorted lines, blurs, etc. Has anyone encountered the same problem? Please direct me to the best solution possible.
If it helps, I'm running on an HP Pavilion dv6000. AMD Turion 64 X2.
