Upgrade to 8.04 does not show up in Grub

    Upgrade to 8.04 does not show up in Grub

    I upgraded from Gutsty to Hardy. Cat /etc/issue shows 8.04. Grub still shows version 7.10. Is that a problem?

    The question that occurs to me is, how did you manage to get booted into 8.04?

      It's not a problem as long as it is just in the Title line. I had to edit my title lne to remove 7.10 references. The other lines reflect the correct information to boot into 8.04. You can edit the title line to read anything you want it to. I changed "Ubuntu" to Kubuntu" in all of my entries.
