Because I had a problem with miro www.getmiro.com playing sound I was so stupid to install xine-ui from source. (See http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=525252 and http://www.getmiro.com/forum/comment...&page=1#Item_0).
The end result: video's don't play anymore, dvd's don't play anymore . Aaaarghhh! Even miro didn't work anymore, while it was working before, only problem i had was it didn't have sound.
Playing mp3's still works, but ogg doesn't work anynore either.
I'm kind of a linux noob so i don't know exactly what went wrong, everything seemed to go smoothly (I followed this faq http://xinehq.de/index.php/faq#AEN72).
What i would like to do is to completely undo any changes made by compiling xine (what is compiling anyway? as i said i'm new to linux)
How can i do this?
PS. If someone also knows how to fix the miro problem on kubuntu hardy that would be nice but most important for me is to get my video's working again...
