KPDF error: KDEInit could not launch 'filename.pdf'

    Hi all,
some time ago i tried the adobe pdf reader in order to compare it to kpdf... no comment. So after a while (like two microseconds) i decided to switch back to kpdf and I removed the adobe reader. Then started the problem. Each time i try to open a pdf file with the .pdf extention i get the error in the subject : KDEInit could not launch 'filename.pdf' .
Infact if the pdf file has no .pdf extention KPDF works fine. Probably the adobe installer did something...
any hint? why do you think there's this difference between files with and without .pdf extention?
and then i really don't know how KDEInit works.
    thanks

Maybe file association (.pdf) is still pointing to the adobe reader ?

    File Associations

Control Center > KDE Components > File Associations
    or
Konqueror > Settings > Configure Konqueror > File Associations

Link > FAQ: Control Centre vs. System Settings
    Before you edit, BACKUP !

Why there are dead links ?

Hi Rog131, thanks for the reply,
actually i checked file association and it's set to xpdf, that is the pdf viewer i'm using now. And infact forks fine with it.
But i'd like to use kpdf cause it has some more nice features since it's designed for kde.
