    KitchenSync and Mobical (SyncML)

I'm trying to synchronize my PIM data from my Blackberry to Kontact. I've got the Blackberry syncing OTA with Mobical currently, and I'm just trying to close the last gap.

I've plugged all the SyncML settings in to KitchenSync, and it says "Ready. Not Synchronized Yet." however nothing happens when I hit synchronize. What gives?

Sorry for the delayed response to your query. I can't offer any specific help, but I can direct you to the Blackberry page at the Ubnutu Community Help Wiki. Unfortunately, the news was not good at the time that the page was generated.
Blackberry functionality is limited to community support. There is currently (as of March 2007) no known official Linux support from RIM. Blackberry devices are not Ubuntu certified hardware either. If you are using a Blackberry and would like it to work in Ubuntu, let RIM know about it. There is a petition online to get official [WWW] RIM BlackBerry Linux USB Driver Support
You might try the Barry program which is recommended there.

      Re: KitchenSync and Mobical (SyncML)

I'm sorry if I didn't describe my problem well enough. I currently have my blackberry successfully syncing with a service called Mobical. It is a SyncML service, which is an open standard. KitchenSync has support for both Kontact and a SyncML server installed, but I physically cannot get the program to initiate a synchronization. You can just forget about the Blackberry part - my phone isn't part of the problem.
