Firefox works very slow under Kubuntu 8.04

My hardware - HP 500 notebook (Pentium Mobile 1,7 GHz, chipset 915 GMA, 2 Gb RAM).

I have used Firefox under Kubuntu 7.04 and 7.10 and there were no problems, even if I have opened 30-50 tabs. Firefox used all of RAM and runs fast.

Now I have installed Kubuntu 8.04 KDE4 Remix and Firefox runs very slow, even if only 10 tabs are open.
Firefox use about 100 Mb of RAM and loads processor about 90%.

I tried run Firefox 2.0 instead of Firefox 3.0b, but it was no effect.

    How can I fix this?

When I open about 10 tabs in Firefox, while pages contain many flash (particularly flash video) Friefox loads processor about 90%.

Hi mate, well, dual pentiums can work under x86/64 arch, though that for flash wouldn´t be the best advice since theres no official plugin for that arch, you would have to use several workarounds to get it to work like using the 32bits version with ia32 and that story that I won´t enter to tell...
Main advice: It can be a KDE specific fault, so try to go to 3.5.9 and see if it happens there too...
From that point on, we´ll be able to go deeper and try to give you some solution...
