KDE4 Installs without Taskbar

Greetings.

I'd like to try KDE4, but it installs without a taskbar and I have no way of accessing software running in the background.

How do I solve this?

If by taskbar you mean the panel at the bottom of the screen try this:

If by taskbar you actually mean the taskbar where you can see and choose running apps try this:
right-click on the desktop and choose add applet or widget(mine is in german) now you will see a window with various widgets to choose from. Choose the taskbar widget and drag/drop it on your panel.
