Upgraded problem

Hi All,

Last week I have upgraded my system from Kubuntu 7.10 to Kubuntu 8.04 version with KDE4.

After the upgradation, there are many applications duplicated in my "start" "program" menus.

the old one with normal name and the new one with "(kde4)" at the end along with normal name.

can I remove the older versions without affecting the new one in a single attempt?

If it is possible, please guide me to achieve that.

I haven't tried this, but you could try to remove "kdebase-bin-kde3" on a test system.

sudo aptitude purge kdebase-bin-kde3

You will probably remove KDE3.x completely. You'll probably miss some programs.

Well I would not install KDE4.x at the moment. I think it's too early :P
