KDE4 unable to browse network shares

    Hardy 8.04 KDE4 Remix (KDE 4.03)

In open dialogs or Konquorer or Dolphin I am unable to browse the (windows) network shares - I just get a

Could not connect to host for smb://smb-network/
This worked perfectly for Hardy 8.04 KDE 3.5.9

Same here. I also found a lot of Bug Reports relating to the same thing. I've been trying to manually to get this to work but no luck. I think it is an issue with KDE4, but I've also heard quite a few with 3.5.9 report the same thing. So it may be a 8.04 issue. Either way, the bug reports reported that it was being worked on, what ever that means.

Yes - First off it was a 8.04 std install with kde4-desktop installed. Then I wiped it and did a fresh Alternate KD4 install, both setups could not browse.
