How I Fixed my Wine Problem

Installed Wine on Hardy.

Downloaded a Windows installer (.exe) from here:
http://www.bkwin.org/bksetupE.EXE

Installer ran Ok but installed program would not run.

Gave up on Wine and tried to installed VMware. Couldn't install VMware due to an incompatibility problem.

Installed VirtualBox from repository.

Thought I'd try my Windows prog. under Wine once more and IT WORKED!

Seems that either VMware or VirtualBox installed something that was missing from Wine.

Not likely , unfortunately

Wine is finicky enough, that it needed to 'reboot' so to speak.
But it is awesome that you got myour program running
Sometimes that is a hair-loss inducing activity
