I upgraded to Hardy and installed the kde4 desktop package. The kde4 display manager (login screen) seems to work fine and I can still log into kde3 just fine. However if i select kde4 and try to log in it loads to the point where I have the bar at the bottom, I have an symbol in the upper right hand corner (which i think is called plasma, but I haven't been able to use it to find out yet) and the icons just appear on the screen when the screen goes black (sometimes with some artifacts) and then returns me to the log in screen. Has anyone else experienced this? How can I fix it so I can use kde4?
