Minimized windows don't appear on the panel.

When I press the minimize button the window disappears completely. The program is still loaded and I can see/run it with alt-tab. but theres no button in the Panel to call it back. I had this problem in Gutsy and was hoping it was a bad configuration or bad package that would be overwritten when I upgraded to Hardy. Ive tried restoring defaults in Window Behavior and in the Panel to no effect. Any other suggestions?

have u tried adding the Taskbar Applet? and making sure it's loaded, and I do think it's Taskbar applet tho. I removed it myself and am using the window list.
