Re-enable "are you sure" on dolphin file deletion

    Hi all,
some time ago I disabled by mistake the option of having the dialog that asks if I am sure of deleting a file, when using dolphin. I didn't find that option anymore, I would like to re-enable it.

Do you know where to do this?

why? you can undo operations with a ctrl + z or go into the trash folder and right-click & restore and unless you explicitly disabled the asking of removing files from the trash bin, it should ask you then if you are sure.

    anyway to re-enable

    ctrl+r

    kcontrol

    KDE Components

    File Manager

    Behavior Tab

Under home url box & ask confirmination for

check Move to Trash and hit apply then close out the window.

It's just a matter of habit, I know I can undo everything...

In my kcontrol configuration, those check boxes were already checked... I tried to uncheck, apply, check apply, but the behavior is the same. What a weird thing... any ideas?

lolz but it will get annoying after awhile and after awhile you'll get used to it.

Have you tried a simple reboot?

it's a couple of kubuntu version that is like this (I think the first time I downloaded dolphin, I changed that behavior and it's like that from that time)... I've rebooted some million of times :-)

hmmm, by the wwy I meant that you'll get used to no dialog boxes asking for del. However it should re-ask,

            try this in a terminal

            sudo chown -R username:username /home/username/

change all usernames to your username

Note tho While taping your pw it won't show as you type, just type it out as u normally do and hit the enter key on your keybaord, from tere re-try un-checking hitting reply and re-checking.

Also what kde ver. are u using?
