Just moved from Debian Etch to Kubuntu

So over the weekend I decided to switch my laptop form Debian Etch to Kubuntu. Install went just fine, wireless is working fine and sound is working just fine. Things I can't seem to find now though that where very simple in Debian are how do I change sound effects. How do I adjust the volume of the laptop. There used to be a speak icon in my tray that I used before in KDE but now nothing is there and I can't find a widget to add.

Btw I am using the KDE 4.0 Remix version of Kubuntu. Maybe I need to go back to the KDE 3x version of Hardy Heron?

    Thanks,
    -Eric

    click Launch.

That'll get your sound icon back. Don' close it by File --> Quit as that'll close it completely. Click on the "X".

System Settings --> Notifications I think is where you want to go for "Sound Effects".
