    Compiz Fusion and xgl

I installed Hardy Heron a week or so ago and did not need xgl to get compiz fusion to work. I am currently downloading Hardy Heron Kbuntu right now. I have an ATI Radeon X1950 Pro PCIe video card. Will I need xgl to get compiz working after I install?

I don't think so. Once Hardy is installed, click on kmenu, system, desktop effects and it should install it for you. You might want to install the restricted drivers though using hardware manager via the same menu. You don't have to go fiddling around. However, if you need various themes, you'll have to fire up adept and install emerald theme manager.
