SOLVED - Keeping Inactive Windows 'on top'

Okay, posted this question some time back. Still looking for the answer.

In GG, I've set 'something' some where so that any open window stays 'up front' when another window is clicked on anywhere other than the title bar. This causes the 'clicked window' to have the focus, while the other(s) loose theirs (but aren't sent behind the current window). This same functionality means that you have to click on a windows title bar to 'bring it to the front.' I like this feature, but for the life of me can't figure out how to get this in HH!

    Ideas? Suggestions?

I think you are talking about "focus".

Go to System Settings, and under Look & Feel there is an icon for Window Behavior. Go there.

Once there, click on the Window Behavior icon again in the vertical part.

In there you will see a section called Policy. Click that and select "Focus Under Mouse", and then turn off "Click Raise Active Window."

The active window should change color, but no windows will move until you click on the border or menu bar.

Appreciate the 'suggestion,' but that isn't it. In Gutsy (I'm posting this from there) my Focus Policy is set to Click to Focus and I have Click raise active window checked. The behavior I described works in Gutsy. My Hardy settings are the same, yet I don't have the same Window effects there.

        Follow-up.

suplero - Your thought did give me a clue. I checked my Compiz settings. In HH, General Options > Focus & Raise Behavior > Raise On Click was checked. Unchecking it gives me what I want! Yeah. Happy camper!!
