Removing Ekiga

I installed Ekiga and when you start, the first window you come to ,just locks up, no "Forward", no shutting down, it's locked up, I have to use the 'kill' command on command line to stop it.
I want to uninstall Ekiga, but if I do it 'Adept' it wants to remove Ekiga and about 100 other
dependencies.
Is there a command that will remove it without removing dependencies ?

rpm -e --nodeps ekiga in Fedora would do the trick.

I'm a Newbie to Ubuntu.

Generally, you don't have to worry about uninstalling any package that you installed via Adept Manager or from the command line with sudo apt-get install package

When you installed ekiga, these are the packages that were installed with it:

The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:

Use 'apt-get autoremove' to remove them.
The following extra packages will be installed:

Each of these 'other packages' may also, when installed, have dependencies that would have been installed. So, if you want to remove ekiga, just mark it for removal via Adept Manager or from the command line with sudo apt-get remove ekiga

My "Generally, you don't have to worry about uninstalling any package" preface means just that - Generally - as there are packages that you don't want to remove unless you want to trash your system. Removing konqueror will do just that!

SnowHog thanks, but I did sudo apt-get remove ekiga , it said ekiga wasn't installed.
But ekiga shows up in /Menu/Internet .
I went back to Adept to install it, but during the process it came back and said that it was
"Broken"
I will have to wait until they fix it.
