    Compiz and HH

I tired to resolve this problem a couple a times before but I never succeed.
I have installed Compiz fusion and CCSM on HH and when I enable them i go from 4 desktops to 2
and the only way to get 4 desktops back is to disable compiz completely.
I just don't get it the whole point of cube should be that it really is an cube and not just an plane.
    ( I have Nvidia 6600)

First, right-click on your desktop and select Configure Desktop > Multiple Desktops and set Number of Destops to 1
Second, in CCSM select General Options > Desktop Size and set Horizontal Virtual Size to 4 and Virtual Vertical Size to 1

    Enjoy your cube! 8)

Hey I've been trying to do this, but when I right click on my desktop and click configure desktop, I don't have any option for multiple desktops. Is the method for doing this different under hardy heron?

When your right-click on your desktop and select Configure Desktop this is what you should be seeing:

That is true if you are running kde 3.5 - however, if you are running kde4 you don't get that set of options. At least on my system - HH 8.04, kde4 & compiz - right click on the desktop only offers the ability to set the background image.

Right click on the pager -> configure desktop will show the option for setting the number of desktops from 1 to n.

Yea I did that through pager and it doesn't work. I place it to one desktop, but when I extend the Horizontal Size to 4, it switches the number of desktops to 4 on the pager. When I use the unfold function, it just creates a flat unfolded cube. Any ideas?

What is CCSM? I went to the Desktop Effects and installed compiz but still have no idea how to configure it. To me, it seems like the same display no matter what option I select.

Well I don't have a Settings menu item. Checked the KMenu editor and nothing was listed under it. Maybe I just don't have everything I need installed?

First, are you running KDE 3.5.9 or KDE 4

Assuming KDE 3.5.9. Open Adept Manager and check that the following files are installed:

                          compiz
                          compiz-bcop

Thanks, I was missing compizconfig-settings-manager. Funny that didn't get installed from the Desktop effects applet.
