I installed envy via synaptic and it will not install the drivers. The terminal opens and then closes, no errors, or anything.

For Hardy, you need to be using Envy NG. If that's not what you got via Synaptic, then go to the source and download the .deb file at the purple "EnvyNG" link at the lower right of the OS table:

Save it to your desktop, then open Dolphin as Super User (Alt-F2 "kdesudo dolphin") and browse to your Desktop, and right-click the downloaded file and use "Install with Gdebi" or whatever that choice is to install it.

Or, if you already have Envy NG, then try running it in text mode, in a console, with

sudo envy -t

and install the driver that way.

Sorry dibl, but the correct command should be "sudo envyng -t"
