awful fonts in firefox-2

I guess I'm the only using firefox-2 in hardy. What's with ugly fonts compared to konqueror?

If you don't like the fonts in Firefox-2, change them.

In Firefox go to Edit --> Preferences --> Content --> Font & Color -- select the one you like! I use Bitstream Vera Sans but you have a choice of dozens of others. Happy hunting.

If you still prefer the windows font in firefox then you would need to install ms core fonts in adept installer then have you're firefox configured with the default firefox font settings in windows.

ha! I fixed the problem. Had to delete all Nimbus fonts in kcontrol font installer module

#edit: this works for firefox3 also

I just tried the two URLs at ubuntusite.com and got "server not found". To derixc: can you verify that the links are good? I'd really like to use the Windows TT fonts.

I can't guess what default font 8.04 is really using for serif. The home page for The New York Times (http://www.nytimes.com) appears in what I can only describe as an ersatz Times Roman, even though if you click on one of the articles the page comes up in REAL Times Roman, on the same machine yet. Go figure.

OK, just tried ubuntusite again and it came up. I guess the server must have been asleep when I tried before.
