What commands do I use to purge Firefox3?

I just upgrade to Hardy Heron, so I thought that I would install the latest version of FF. Now I find out that the extension that I used to backup all my bookmarks (FEBE), will not work with the new FF3. So I need to remove FF3 completely and install FF2. What is the proper way to do this? I read here about purging FF3, but I don't know how to do this. Could anyone explain how to do this?

    Thanks!

Try this for the removal of firefox 3:

    Code:

    sudo apt-get remove firefox --purge
Then for the installation of firefox 2:

    Code:
    sudo apt-get install firefox-2

HP Pavilion dv6 core i7 (Main)
          4 GB Ram

I found that with FF3 I was able to import all my bookmarks from the html file that FEBE created, so it looks like I may try it for a little while. Now I'll have to see if I can get Flash to work.
