Mystery crash and the Unicorn SOLVED

My computer is on 24/7. For the second time in about 4 weeks I find it with blinking keyboard lights in the morning. It does not respond to anything but a restart.

Thereafter it works as always. Except for today.

Upon restarting the system I found the Kubuntu splash screen changed. Instead of the regular swirls there was a Unicorn - a pink Unicorn to boot!!
    On a pinkish background.

Does anyone have a similar change or is this specific to my computer. If yes, could it be the work of hackers?

PS: I do not have KDE4 installed.

OK, I thought it might be an April joke. But then I found it in KDesktop as a wallpaper from "http://www.deviantart.com/art. . .". the rest of the URL is not legible.

Consequently, you can turn it off by changing your wallpaper back to what you had in the first place. Right click on your desktop and then change the settings on the KDesktop screen.
