    cut and paste

Why cut and paste doesn't work ?
If I cut an file/folder and paste it in another place, the original file/folder is not deleted.
I had the same problem with gutsy I think that is a bug of Dolphin.

Did you have the same problem ?

I just gave it a shot......

and I don't have that particular problem.

Is it like that when you use Konqueror as well ?

Dolphin works OK here for cut/copy/move/paste.

Tried it in GG KDEv3.5.9 and HHKDEv4, both did fine.

There is a chance (depending on the location of the files you are attempting to move) that you may not have write access for the source directory. Read access would allow you to copy the file, but write access would be required to remove the file.

Do you get any errors when attempting to 'move' the file? I get a permission denied when attempting to move a system file to my home directory.

If I use drag and drop (move here) it works fine but if I use right-click--->cut and paste (in another folder).
The original file is copied(ok) but it became "grey" and not be deleted .

I have all permission so it's not the problem.
