A copy / paste and mouse issue

For some time now I have been getting very annoyed because every time I mark a text or www address with the mouse it is automatically copied.

That means that when ever I want to replace a text with another I have to delete it without marking it. Or mark it. delete it and choose the text I want to paste from klipper.
Both variations are a pain.

I would love to turn off this function but can by the life of me not find the switch.

Any ideas?

Check klipper settings:

Under Clipboard/Selection Behavior, select
'Separate clipboard and selection'
