    kernel

    Hello

I installed Hardy beta 5 and I have made some updates. Now I have 3 kernels (8 -11-12).
    Can I uninstall kernel 8 and 11 ?

All kernel worked fine till now.

    Re: kernel

You are well-advised to keep at least one kernel immediately preceding the one that you are booting today. So if you are booting -12, then it's a good idea to keep -11 (assuming it was working OK, which you say it was).

For the others, just use Adept Manager and mark them for removal.

        Re: kernel

I've learned never to remove kernels unless I know for SURE I don't need them.

Too many times the latest update will pooch the latest kernel.

indeed, this last one (2.6.24-12) is currently being fixed since it has no sound support
