Today, flash is gone from my system -- not a single sign of it anywhere. Even good old http://www.hurtwood.demon.co.uk/Fun/copter.swf doesn't open.

Hmmm -- double-checked all the relevant packages in Adept -- they all seem to be fine.

I dunno .... we'll see what tomorrow brings, I guess. There were many compiz-related updates in the past few days -- and I'm running compiz. Guess I could shut down compiz and see if it makes any difference.

Yep, it's as I thought. The current Flash plugin still causes issues with Xembed in Konqueror and Opera. Downloaded the 9.48 version of Flash, copied it into /usr/lib/flashplugin-nonfree - presto, Flash works.
