Can't update with adept manager, can't use Fetch updates

While I'm install synaptic to resolve audio problem I get stall while configuring acidlab package.
What can I do to solve this problem?? Anyone has got help for me??

What? Synaptic to resolve an audio problem? I think we need a lot more information -- Synaptic is a GUI front end for the package manager, and Adept Manager is the other GUI front end for the package manager. What exactly are you trying to do?
