Is there something wrong with DHCP? I cant connect either using any of the managers.
Its my first distro so please be patient.

with both ath0 and wifi0 having the same mac address, I am wondering if it is causing a conflict.

just a couple of quick questions...
What type of connection do you have? (ie: cable, dsl)
Are you able to connect when hard wired?
Do you have encryption enabled on your router?

Re: Wifi Atheros 5006X DHCP error during connection

I have a adsl coonection. There is no problem with connection with wire (also there is no problem in wireless at winXP). I have a WEP encryption and
      Code:
      mati@RAKIETA:~$ sudo iwconfig ath0 key 1DD25AA75
this is my key in hex. It doesn't work if i do:
      Code:
      mati@RAKIETA:~$ sudo iwconfig ath0 key s:80005200501
      neither.
