SOLVED localhost offline not reachable after installing KDE4 alongside kde3.5.10

I installed KDE4 alongside my KDE 3.5.10.
Now, when Im not online (ie offline/not connected to internet), Im not able to point my Konqueror (3.5.10), Firefox 3.0.3, Opera 9.27 to localhost.
However Im able to connect to localhost using Konqueror-KDE4 browser even when Im offline.

When online, there's no problem.

SOLVED!!!
I tried messing around with the network settings (IP etc) and somehow now all my browsers can reach localhost while offline.
