Knetworkmanager doesn't keep manual configuration

Hi everyone!,

i installed kubuntu 8.10 alpha6 and I try to configure network by knetworkmanager. I see my wlan and detect ethernet. I configure first my wlan, but i can't connect. It seems all correct, no error, but it didn't connect. It didn't active my configuration. The same with eth0. I confiure it manually (static ip) but it seems it didn't take the ip.

Anyone can help me?

Shut down the interface and then re-enable it. I wish knetworkmanager would do this automatically
