im fairly new to kubuntu i am running hardy and the knetworkmanager wont save the config it says its saved but when i close and reopen it didn't save. and i cant access my wireless network because of it. i am using a netgear usb wireless net adapter. and a lynksys wireless g router. i have no clue if that info will help or not. but any help will be greatly appreciated.

A lot of people have had issues with Knetworkmanager. One of the usual directions given is to use a different application called 'wicd' found at http://wicd.sourceforge.net/
Seems to work well, and they have a way to add it to the repository, follow the directions and it's pretty simple. -

thank you for the info. but my ubuntu hardy disc came in the mail today so i installed it and haven't had any problems since. but thanks for the info i will use it if that problem arises on the other machine im building and installing kubuntu onto.Comment
