Connecting to a Vista machine from a Kubuntu machine

    Hello All,

I've searched and searched and tried and tried and failed. This question has probably been asked thousands of times and I've tried at all costs to avoid asking the same question; however, I cannot find an answer.

I have two computers in my house: this one running Kubuntu Hardy Heron, and another computer running Windows Vista. What I would like to do is be able to connect to the Vista machine, as well as print using a printer connected to the Vista machine. My machine has Samba set up, and both machines are in the same workgroup. The Vista machine can "see" my Linux machine, but my Linux machine can only "see" HOMEPC, which is the name of my Vista machine. But further browsing cannot be done. I've installed smb4k, and it shows the various shared folders and the shared printer on the Vista machine; however, it cannot mount them. What can I do? How can I get my machine to print files across my home network to my printer connected to the Vista machine?

    Please help!

    Jason
