Re: Unable to configure network settings

You tell us what you did and we might be able to tell you why it didn't work.

I got a static ip address, but don't remember how It isn't my /etc/network/interfaces, which is standard... Right, am definitely suffering from brainblock right now... Will post later when it is working properly again (the brain, that is).

Re: Unable to configure network settings

Just a couple of points which may or may not be relevant.

When I do ifconfig on my Fedora server on the same network it gives me all the IP addresses I have configured (netmask, broadcast etc). The Kubuntu output includes non of these - does this imply that it is not reading my settings in /etc/network/interfaces etc?

How do I set the host name?

      Cheers
