mysql error 2003 SOLVED

Hello,

Another problem setting up mysql, this is ubuntu hardy server:

Could not connect to host '192.168.1.10'.
MySQL Error Nr. 2003
Can't connect to MySQL server on '192.168.1.10' (111)

The server is up and running, I can connect as root with the root pass, but if I try to add a user and connect with that name and pass, I get this error. (this was working when the server was an xp machine, same setup)

I understood that I had to comment out the line in /etc/mysql/my.cnf that reads:
bind-adres=127.0.0.1

Well, now I get a different error, grin.

MySQL Error Nr. 2013
Lost connection to MySQL server at 'reading initial communication packet', system error: 0
