    Re: setup NFS

Preferred: Use the FUSE kernel module included in the Linux 2.6.27

    There's a problem ....

      Re: setup NFS

I didn't know that. That calls for some experimentation.

        Intersting thread about this: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=597298

Meanwhile I'm getting out my 500 gig usb drive to do some copying.
The route to go ext3 seems the best way now, only that server is an older machine with usb 1.x and the copy is rather slow but since the drive is not networked anymore...

        Computers, wonderful hobby.

Take care with guides like mentioned in the very first post.
I have been trying to connect to mysql server for 2 days on the remote machine and only after undoing the things to /etc/host.allow and /etc/hosts.deny I got it working.
Sharing works, mysql works also from remote, ssh now works.
