No network with nVidia MCP55 Ethernet

I've had this problem before with beta versions, but never a release version. I'm just posting this now because I've been too busy to worry about it (and I've been happy with Gutsy) Here is my story.

It doesn't matter if I do a clean install or an update or if it's ubuntu or kubuntu. The same thing happens.

    1. Once the update or install is complete and I reboot and login the network icon spools for a bit trying to find a network.
    2. Once it does "connect" it's a different IP than it should be getting from my router. The internet doesn't work and I can't even connect to my router.
    3. If I manually change the IP, Subnet, etc to the correct values it still doesn't work.

I've posted about this problem before and could never find a solution, but when a new "final" version came out it always just worked again. This time it didn't. I've also had trouble with other distributions having the exact same problem.

But I heard recently that there are ipv6 vs. ipv4 problems. Could that be it?

Tell me what you need to figure this all out and I'll be on it!

Working...
