Installing NDISwrapper via Adept without internet connection

I'm new to KDE and just fed my laptop with Kubuntu 8.04. I have an Atheros network card and I want to install NDISwrapper via Adept, but how come I don't get access to all available packages? Like NDISwrapper...

Darned if I know! When I search on "ndiswrapper" in adept-manager, I find ndisgtk, ndiswrapper-common, and ndiswrapper-utils. The only thing that I can think of is that you may not have enough repos enabled. You should enable Universe and Multiverse, if they aren't

Also, I thought that Atheros cards require a driver called "madwifi" from the "linux-restricted-modules" package for your kernel.
