    Samba not starting at boot

I have a question regarding Samba. It seems that it is not starting upon boot, I have to manually start it after every reboot.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks,

Just enter the command you're using to start Samba into /etc/rc.local to have it executed during boot.

Make sure you enter it before, and leave intact, the "exit 0" line!

If you look under /etc/rc2.d, do you see a link called "K##samba", where ## is a number between 0 and 99?
Change the name of that file from K##samba to S##samba.

See /etc/rc2.d/README for more information on what that does.

        Graham,
Adding, "/etc/init.d/samba start", to etc/rc.local did the trick.

        Thanks,
        iz

        Edit:
Here is link that has a Samba install and configure walk through and it address Samba not starting at boot.
